Producing for television 101

I've been trying to get a pilot for this TV show I'm working on to happen, and my first real act as a 'producer' was to order an inflatable shark on ebay. The guy still hasn't got back to me with how to pay him, but I ended up settling on this nice little 72" model.

It's pretty good considering, but I ended up getting jacked with the shipping and handling. Some of the sharks weren't even close, they were like dolphins and hammerheads.

I found that Bob Dylan - Tangled Up in Blue, from his Blood On the Tracks album, was a good song to search for inflatable sharks to. All the talk about music in cafes and revolution in the air seemed to add a sense of importance to what I was doing.
